Astro Secures Multiple Wins at the ContentAsia Awards 2026
Astro’s content earned four wins at the ContentAsia Awards 2026, with the winners announced during the awards ceremony in Bangkok on 27 August 2026. The wins span film, animation, sound design and entertainment, recognising the creative work behind a diverse range of content created for audiences in Malaysia.
The awards are:
Gold
- Best Feature Film or Telemovie Made in Asia: Abah Saya Uncle Mike – Astro SHAW
Silver
- Best Animated Programme Made in Asia: Kisah Bawah Tanah – Astro Malaysia
- Best Sound Design Created in Asia for an Asian TV Programme/Series: Bad Cop (Malaysia) – Astro SHAW
Bronze
- Best Original Game Show Made in Asia: Talk To My Manager – Astro Malaysia
The 7th ContentAsia Awards celebrate excellence in premium video content and talent across Asia. This year, more than 180 programmes were nominated across 35 categories, spanning news and factual programming, entertainment, kids’ content and drama. The recognition reflects the dedication and creativity of the teams behind Astro’s content, and the continued support and trust of Malaysians.
