Astro Arena Shines at SAM-100PLUS Awards 2024
Astro Arena proudly marked a stellar achievement at the SAM-100PLUS Awards 2024, celebrating excellence in Malaysian sports journalism. Organised by the Sportswriters Association of Malaysia (SAM) in collaboration with 100PLUS, the annual event recognises outstanding contributions in sports reporting and media. Astro Arena emerged as one of the night’s biggest winners, taking home multiple top honours. Fina Nasrom was awarded the prestigious Siebel Award for her impactful piece “Tujuh Faisal Halim”, which also earned her the Best Special Report category. Her powerful storytelling and dedication to highlighting local sporting talent reflect the calibre of journalism Astro Arena strives for. Aiman Rohisham was named Popular Sports Commentator, a recognition of his strong rapport with audiences and his dynamic presence in sports broadcasting. Fadhirul Shuhaimi added to the list of wins with the Best Electronic Media Report, reinforcing the team’s commitment to delivering high-quality and engaging sports content. These accolades underscore Astro Arena’s leadership in Malaysian sports media and its unwavering commitment to credible, insightful, and inspiring journalism. The wins serve as a testament to the team’s passion for elevating local sports stories and driving the national sporting conversation forward.
Astro Wins Big with 7 Awards at the MARKies 2024
Astro brought home seven awards at the MARKies Awards 2024, recognising the creativity, impact, and collaboration behind our campaigns. Leading the wins was our Wira Wonda Kita campaign, which stood out for its powerful storytelling and innovative media execution. In partnership with Ampersand Advisory, Talon Creative, Kingdom Digital, MediaBrands Content Studio, Mindshare Media and our teams at Astro Media Solutions and Astro Shaw were honoured across multiple categories. Together, we clinched two Gold awards for Most Creative: Integrated Media and Most Creative: Interactive Storytelling, as well as two Silver awards for Most Effective Use: Content and Most Creative: Multicultural Marketing. We also secured three Bronze awards: Most Creative: Communications / PR, Most Creative: Cause Marketing for Project Exit by Astro Shaw, and Most Effective Use: B2B Marketing for Upfront 2024 by Astro Media Solutions. These wins are a testament to the strength of our ideas, the synergy between our partners, and the passion our teams bring to every project.
