KUALA LUMPUR, 7 August 2024 - Astro launched its ‘Inilah KITA’ campaign from 15 August to 16 September 2024 in conjunction with National and Malaysia Day. This campaign aims to celebrate unity in diversity by making a positive impact within our communities. The ‘Inilah KITA’ campaign features several exciting initiatives, such as the KITA Channel (CH100), a Free Preview of 6 Channels, the campaign theme song, Inilah KITA by various Malaysian artistes, SYOK FEST KITA, Inilah Hero KITA social movement and more.

As a homegrown Malaysian brand, Astro is celebrating the best Malaysian stories and entertainment with KITA Channel (CH100), featuring over 100 curated titles from 15 August to 16 September on Astro, NJOI and sooka. In addition to that, Astro customers can enjoy a free preview of six channels from 30 August to 16 September, namely, SHOWCASE (CH413), HITS MOVIES (CH401), tvN Movies (CH416), HITS NOW (CH702), Zee Cinema (CH251), and ABO Movies Thangathirai (CH241).
Customers can look forward to new and premiering titles on KITA Channel (CH100), including:
• Lion Girl, a drama about Sakina starring Erysha Emyra, whose passion for Lion Dance leads her to become a lion dancer, overcoming family and friendship challenges while embodying Malaysian resilience, cultural appreciation, and the pursuit of dreams.
• Rombongan Makciks Ke Dataran Merdeka, a drama starring Rozita Che Wan, Mandy Chong and Satthiya Kandi as three ‘makciks’ from Kg Wahab Satu, whose journey to see their family in a Fire Brigade procession takes a chaotic turn testing their resilience and camaraderie and showcasing true Malaysian unity and perseverance.
• The Music Journey, a music programme showcasing Malaysian singers, Priscilla Abby, Firdhaus, 3P Caven, Uriah See and RYOTA as they perform their reinterpretation of beloved original songs by Malaysian at various iconic spots, celebrating the rich tapestry of Malaysia.
• Pasanga Season 2, Malaysia’s most watched local Tamil series by Astro and Malaysia’s first Tamil series with 100 episodes by producer and lead actor, Denes Kumar, reflects the importance of family bonds and overcoming adversity as Malaysians.
• Oga & Friends, a brand new homegrown animation series from the studio that created Didi & Friends about the adventures of a group of animals living in the Malaysian jungle. This cartoon carries a message about the importance of environmental conservation, aligned with Astro’s RimbaKita ESG purpose.

‘Inilah KITA’ Celebrates Malaysian Unity and Local Talent
Malaysians can also look forward to the campaign theme song, Inilah KITA, celebrating local talents and unity among Malaysians. The song is performed by a variety of local artistes, namely, Hael Husaini, Wani Kayrie, Daniel Fong, Joey Leong, Balan Kash and Roshini. The song will be available from 15 August 2024 on your favourite streaming platforms.
From 6 to 8 September, come and experience a festive union of Malaysian culture at SYOK FEST KITA at Setia City Park Oval Lawn.
