Kuala Lumpur, 14 January 2020 – Astro customers can enjoy a wide variety of premiering local and international content this Pongal from 15 January 2020 on Astro GO, on demand and radio.
Local series including Rasikka Rusikka Pongal Special, Adada Pongal, Ponggal with Paati and Denes, and hit movie, NGK will premiere on Vinmeen HD (CH 231). Customers can also enjoy the premiere of Nam Vaazhkai Nam Kaiyil, a motivational talkshow by local speaker Dr Kader Ibrahim, and gameshow featuring local artistes, Naiyandi Ponggal on Astro Vaanavil (CH 201).
Other premiering blockbuster hits include Bigil, Namma Veetu Pillai, Sangathamizhan, Viswasam, and Petta on Sun TV (CH 211/ HD CH 234); Asuran and Kaithi on Star Vijay (CH 224/ HD CH 232) and action-crime-thriller film Kaalidas on Astro Box Office, Thangathirai (CH 241) will be available for customers to enjoy.
Additionally, RAAGA, Malaysia’s No. 1 Tamil radio brand, will be have special Pongal treats for fans. During the Kalakkal Kaalai segment, announcers, Suresh (as Pongal Pugalenthi) and Ahila (as Pongal Poonjolai) will discuss the evolution of Pongal celebrations, and on the Innikke Enna Kathe segment, announcer Revathy will interview two businessmen in the agriculture industry, specifically paddy cultivation and farming equipment.
