KUALA LUMPUR, 7 August 2025 – In conjunction with this year’s National and Malaysia Day celebrations, Astro launches its ‘Inilah KITA, Sehati Bersama campaign, starting from 15 August to 16 September 2025. The campaign celebrates the rich diversity and unity that continue to positively shape the Malaysian society. Tai Kam Leong, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Astro, said, “We’re continuing the ‘Inilah KITA’ narrative this year with the theme ‘Sehati Bersama’, showcasing stories that reflect unity in diversity. Through stories of togetherness - from sharing meals and communal spaces to creative collaborations - we present cherished moments that have brought Malaysians closer. These shared experiences remind us that despite our different backgrounds, it is these meaningful moments that unite us as one. Throughout this campaign, we aim to bring the spirit of ‘Sehati Bersama’ to Malaysians through amazing films and dramas on KITA Channel, the inspiring theme song Bangkit Malaysia, the Hello Inilah KITA event celebrating local talents, and lively radio chatter with your favourite radio hosts via KITA FM.”

As part of the ‘Inilah KITA, Sehati Bersama’ campaign, Astro introduces Unity Stories of Inilah KITA – a series of three short documentaries that portray real-life stories of unity in diversity within Malaysian communities:

  • Famili Ikat Tepi – A 100-year-old kopitiam that became a symbol of unity, not only for its food but for the lasting bonds it has fostered among the multiracial community and its owner.
  • Tempat Letak Harmoni – In Lutong, Sarawak, Masjid al-Naim and The Good Shepherd Church share a parking lot, symbolising harmony between the Muslim and Christian residents. Each week, they take turns using the space out of mutual respect.
  • Seni Berkawan – A collaborative art project between three local artists — Izzati Suza, Riynn Lee, and Karthine Maniam — from different cultural backgrounds, who come together to share more than just canvases and colours. They share stories, traditions, and perspectives, celebrating unity through creativity and friendship.

These Unity Stories of Inilah KITA premieres on Astro Malaysia’s YouTube channel on 7 August 2025 at 9:00PM.

Malaysians are also invited to celebrate local talents at the Hello Inilah KITA event happening on 23 and 24 August 2025. This event brings Malaysians together through storytelling, music, and culture, featuring a diverse lineup of celebrities, including Mira Filzah, Hun Haqeem, Ayda Jebat, Uriah, Nicole Lai, Rubini, and Sara Baskin – symbolising unity and diversity in Malaysia’s entertainment industry.
