13 Jan 2021, Sibu, Sarawak – Astro Malaysia will temporarily close its Customer Service Centre (CSC) at Pusat Pedada in Sibu today, after one customer who visited the premise on 8 Jan was tested positive for COVID-19. The CSC will reopen tomorrow 14 Jan 2021.
The closure of the premise is in compliance to the Ministry of Health’s instruction to conduct disinfection and sanitisation of the premise.
The company said that it is working with the health authorities to identify staff who have come into contact with the customer concerned. Primary contacts will be tested and then home quarantined for 14 days. All Astro CSCs will continue to strictly observe physical distancing and other preventive SOPs in mitigating the spread of the virus.
Astro advised customers to self-serve online, or reach its customer service personnel via WhatsApp (send “Hi” to +603 9543 3838) and/or message its agents on the official Facebook and Twitter pages.
Astro’s operations are unimpacted by this development unless informed otherwise; and has business continuity plans in place to safeguard our operations.
