Astro customers can catch the much-anticipated grand finale of RAP Porkalam, on 31 August, 9pm on Astro Vinmeen HD (CH 231). While the TV premiere of the grand finale was initially scheduled for an earlier date, it was pushed when the Movement Control Order (MCO) was implemented due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fans can enjoy a riveting battle of talents between top five finalists: Eassya, Taseltech, Madrassi, CJL and Naren Zac, set against the backdrop of the majestic KLCC Twin Towers. The grand finale will be hosted by Malaysian hip-hop pioneer, Emcee Jesz, who has also been a judge throughout the RAP Porkalam competition; as well as local radio RAAGA announcer, Kogulan. Additionally, this episode will feature award-winning music producer, Navin Navigator and renowned local singer, Sasi The Don.
The RAP Porkalam champion will take home a cash prize of RM5000 and release debut single in collaboration withSony Music Malaysia, while the 1st runner up will take home a cash prize of RM2000 with an option to collaborate with Sony Music Malaysia for the debut single release.
Fans can catch all previous episodes daily at 9.30pm until 29 August, and at 1pm on 30 August via AstroVinmeen HD (CH 231); as well as from 2pm, daily until 30 August via the AstroUlagam website and social media platforms. All episodes are also available for streaming anytime via Astro on demand.
