Kuala Lumpur, 28 November 2025 — Astro is deeply humbled to be recognised with 12 awards, including Campaign of the Year, at the Malaysian PR Awards (MPRA) 2025, a leading national platform that celebrates excellence in public relations and strategic communications. Organised by the Public Relations and Communications Association of Malaysia (PRCA Malaysia),MPRA honours outstanding campaigns that demonstrate innovation, impact, and leadership in shaping meaningful connections with communities.
Astro proudly took home 8 Golds, 3 Silvers, and 1Bronze, underscoring its commitment to storytelling that unites Malaysians, promotes inclusion, and upholds values that strengthen society.
Championing Accessibility and Inclusion
Astro was awarded Gold in the Sustainability Award and the coveted Gold for Campaign of the Year for Astro Advancing Accessibility. From introducing audio description in local dramas like Dari Mata Turun Ke Hati to launching the One Voice, One Book, One Nation campaign with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Malaysian Association for the Blind (MAB), Astro is working toward producing 5,000 hours of audiobooks by 2026 for visually impaired children. These initiatives reflect our belief that every Malaysian deserves equal access to education, entertainment, and information.

Astro received Gold for Best PR-Led Integrated Campaign for Not Just A Hero, A Movement: Keluang Man’s Cultural Comeback. Anchored on the idea “Wira Kita, Legasi Kita”, the campaign revitalised Malaysia’s iconic superhero, honouring his legacy while introducing him to anew generation. More than entertainment, Keluang Man became a symbol of resilience and Malaysian values, sparking conversations on mental health and justice—issues that matter to our society.
Commitment to Responsible Communication
Astro also earned recognition in the Corporate Category, including Bronze for Crisis or Issues Management Award for The 3 Pagi Era Incident, and multiple Golds and Silvers for impactful coverage and thought leadership pieces that addressed critical societal issues—from mental health and inclusivity to cultural respect and crisis response.
