Stream all Astro Radio brands via the SYOK app
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and Movement Control Order (MCO) in place, Astro Radio’s 11 brands and popular announcers continue to proactively educate and create awareness on the right behaviors to help contain the COVID-19 outbreak.
To creatively adapt to the MCO in effect and encourage social distancing, some Astro Radio announcers have also begun working from home in line with the #StayHome or #DudukRumah advisory, all while continuing to keep Malaysians up-to date, debunking fake news, and continuing with their respective entertaining segments on-air and on social media.
The announcers broadcasting from home so far include all announcers from MY, MELODY, GOXUAN and ERA Sarawak, as well as Calista (HITZ); Ashley (MIX); Sham & Soraya (LITE); Zahier & Munabella (ERA); Mijul (ERA Sabah); and Uthaya & Kogulan (RAAGA).
These announcers are continuing their broadcasts from home with a set-up consisting of laptops with audio editor software, phones, earphones, microphones. Some announcers have even resorted to creative adjustments for soundproofing at home using household items, such as pillows. Segments are recorded in advance and sent to production engineers for the necessary adjustments, and is then uploaded into the system for broadcast.
While working from home, these announcers continue to engage and reach out to fans with posts of photos and videos on social media, discussions through WhatsApp, and even through mobile games.
All Malaysians can stream all Astro Radio brands via the SYOK app to receive the latest updates, while enjoying family-friendly entertainment at home.
