Kuala Lumpur, 7 October 2024 – As the Home of Sports, Astro today announced that, Astro’s Sports channels will be updated with new names and channel numbers, reflecting a clearer focus on specific sports starting 17 October 2024. This update offers a more cohesive viewing experience with a simpler way to recognise the channels by the sports that is on the channel. This update will enhance viewer experience, deliver even more compelling sports content, and strengthen Astro’s position as a premier destination for sports fans.
Astro Sports Channels will be updated with new names and channel numbers, offering a more streamlined and intuitive viewing experience. This change aligns our channels with specific sports making it easier for fans to find the content they love. An example of the change would be:
• Astro SuperSport 1 & 2 will be updated to Astro Premier League 1 & 2 (CH811 & CH812), offering all Premier League LIVE matches and repeats.
• Astro SuperSport 4 will be updated to Astro Football (CH814) offering other football leagues such as Conmebol WC and AFC Qualifiers.
