Astro, the ‘Home of Sports’, is thrilled to expand its cricket offerings with the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 16th season of India's flagship T20 tournament introduces revamped format and rules, along with the return of its home-away games to make it more exciting than ever for the 10 teams and fans.
The opener features two exciting captains, Hardik Pandya, who led Gujarat Titans to an IPL title in its debut season, facing Chennai Super Kings’ MS Dohni, a fan favourite and former captain of the Indian cricket team.
Fans can watch the IPL from 31 March, 10PM on Astro Cricket HD (CH824), and catch all 74 matches live with the finals happening in the end of May.
After the IPL, fans can look forward to the 5-test series of 2023 Ashes from 16 June, The Hundred 2023 in August, the New Zealand tour of England featuring four T20I and four ODI matches, and the Ireland tour of England with three ODI matches both happening in September.
