From backstage to mainstage, witness the 360° viewing experience of #MACIP2017 finals

Ever wondered what happens backstage during a beauty pageant? What about taking a candid look at your favourite pageant girl behind the scenes without distractions? Watching the crowning of Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant 2017 (#MACIP2017) will never be the same again, as now you can get up close and personal with your favourite finalists through an immersive, multi-screen experience on mobile and online!

Complementing linear viewing LIVE on Astro Wah Lai Toi channel, the grand finals of #MACIP2017 will be available to all Astro customers on Astro GO for FREE on Sunday, 25 June at 8.30pm.

For the first time in beauty pageants’ history in Malaysia, fans are bound to catch glimpse of the stunning finalists, judges and even the screaming spectators off stage from multiple angles, through three dedicated fan-cams via macip.astro.com.my throughout the 3-hour LIVE show!

Catering to the growing socially-connected and tech-savvy young population, #MACIP2017 will bring viewers a new 360° viewing experience, with panoramic filming during segments like swimsuit, Qipao parade, and guest performances. Fans equipped with VR headgear will be exhilarated by an enhanced VR experience of enjoying the beauty pageant like never before!

The eight finalists set to outshine each other’s charm and intelligence include No. 1 Tiffany Teh (21, KL), No. 2 Poly Pang (22, KL), No. 3 Mika Song (21, Kedah), No. 4 Chelsey Tan (21, Melaka), No. 5 Janice Low (23, KL), No. 6 Lovell Tan (23, Pahang), No. 7 Jesselyn Low (21, Penang) and No. 8 Moon Tan (21, Johor).

The eight beautiful hopefuls will kick off the show by impressing the audience through their talent showcase, followed by the swimsuit segment and the most jittering Q&A session. And what is Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant without the Qipao parade. This segment will bring the event to the pinnacle of the night when the beauty queen and runners-up are revealed.

Adding glitz to this glamorous beauty pageant are appearances of Hong Kong actor Chapman To and singer-actor Pakho Chau on the judging panel, alongside MY FM announcer, actor and film producer Jack Lim; MELODY FM announcer and content producer Wong Chui Ling, as well as the Founder and Chairman of Adonis, BB&BC Group, Ann Lee. Co-hosted by Jeff Chin and Jentzen Lim, #MACIP2017 grand finals will feature performances by Pakho Chau and Astro Star Quest talents Nicole Lai and Alvin Chong.
