About ‘Malaysian Made on MIX’

Malaysians can enjoy local music on MIX, one of Malaysia’s top English radio brands from today, through ‘Malaysian Made on MIX’, part of the Sapot Lokal campaign to empower local music and musicians.

Fans can listen to a wide range of well-loved and popular local songs from the 90’s to 2000’s songs across a variety of genres and artistes including Resh, Too Phat, Disagree, Poetic Ammo, Estrella, Kyoto Protocol, Paperplane Pursuit and more.

To kick off ‘Malaysian Made on MIX’ on 15 February, The MIX Breakfast will be taking in listener song requests for their favourite throwback Malaysian English songs.

Fans can also enjoy special guest interviews on the MIX Breakfast show with Yuna, Joe Flizzow and more from 16 to 19 February, 6am to 10am. Fans can stream these interviews on-air via the SYOK app or catch up via MIX social media pages.

“Through ‘Malaysian Made on MIX’, Astro Radio hopes to continue empowering the local music industry to create more local favourites. Keeping in mind our listener demographics, we will be playing some of their preferred local songs they grew up with. We also look forward to our fans’ suggestions for more of their favourite local music, and are excited to continue playing today’s best music on-air and on the SYOK app.”
