Kuala Lumpur, 21 Aug 2024 – In a groundbreaking initiative to promote sports and wellness among media professionals, the popular radio stations HITZ, MIX, and LITE came together for an exhilarating Pickleball Party. This marks the first time such an event has been held, where radio hosts formed teams and engaged in a friendly yet fiercely competitive Pickleball match.
Pickleball, a sport that has been rapidly gaining popularity across Malaysia, was the perfect choice for this unique event. Known for its fun, engaging, and social aspects, Pickleball brings together elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. The simplicity of the game makes it accessible to players of all skill levels, while its competitive nature adds an exciting twist.
The HITZ team comprised Prem, Anne, Arnold, and Arka, while the MIX team featured Aishah, Rod, Guibo, and Zoey. Representing LITE were Terry, Leya, Ika, Non, and Fabes.
The match unfolded in a series of intense but friendly games, with the teams battling it out on the court. In the end, LITE emerged as the champion, securing the first place with outstanding performances by Non and Fabes.
