Listen to RAAGA anytime via the SYOK app
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and Movement Control Order (MCO) in place, RAAGA’s Kalakkal Kaalai hosts, Ahila and Suresh will continue to inform and entertain fans from home, throughout April. Using a set-up consisting of their devices, Skype software, and more, the segment will be recorded in advance and subsequently uploaded into the system for broadcast every Monday to Friday, 6am to 10am. By creatively adapting to the MCO, the RAAGA Kalakkal Kaalai team also proactively create awareness in line with the #StayHome advisory.
RAAGA fans can also enjoy the following segments on-air and on social media in April:
- Recognising Volunteers (6 – 10 April): In conjunction with National Volunteer Week, Ahila and Suresh highlight some volunteers who are courageously and selflessly serving communities amidst the COVID-19 pandemic;
- Tamil New Year (13 – 17 April): Fans can get more information on their ‘Rasi Palan’ (Indian horoscope) on-air and on RAAGA social media, as well as substitutes for ‘Mooligai Water’ (herbal water) which is commonly used during the New Year, to sprinkle around homes, to drink and more. Fans can also participate in a RAAGA Instagram photo challenge by sharing their favourite Tamil New Year celebration photo and using #CovidTamilNewYear in the caption.
- Earth Day (20 – 24 April): In addition to discussions about the COVID-19 impact on the environment including recent pictures of animals moving freely in public spaces, fans can share current photos of places (from Google) to compare how that place and its environment looked like before and during the COVID-19 outbreak using #StayHome in their captions.
- #CovidKavithai (COVID-19 Poem): Throughout April, fans can create their own creative COVID-19 related poem and share it on Instagram and also tag RAAGA.
