SCREAM ALONG WITH A BOO’S FIRST ORIGINAL SERIES: 3 A.M. BANGKOK GHOST STORIES

BOO, the destination for Asian Horror on Astro, has launched its first original series – 3 A.M. Bangkok Ghost Stories – a co-production with top Thailand horror content producer, Five Star Production. 3 A.M. Bangkok Ghost Stories comprises of a 13-episode bone-chilling series starting from 28th October 2017 featuring supernatural occurrences at the witching hour of 3 A.M.

Henry Tan, Chief Operating Officer, Astro said, “We are creating premium original content and have been fortunate enough to attract the best and like-minded partners such as Five Star Production from Thailand to create compelling Asian original series and movies of higher production values that resonate with our Asian audience. One year after the anniversary of the launch of BOO we are firmly convinced of the appeal of thrillers and stories steeped in ASEAN supernatural folklore and experiences.”

3 A.M. Bangkok Ghost Stories will showcase the outstanding work of Kiatkamon Iamphungporn, who first produced the hit 3 A.M. movie in 2012 and a sequel in 2014 with both achieving cult status amongst horror fans. The original series will premiere every Saturday at 3:00am on BOO. The first episode “DJ”, stars Thai actress/singer Chansakorn Kittiwattanakorn (whose nickname is “Hongyok”) of “True Academy Fantasia Season 10” fame and 2016 movie “Yes or No 2.5”, and Paranyu Rojanawuthitham and tells a story of a DJ being haunted by a spirit of a woman whose death by suicide compels her to haunt others. Episode two, stars Tongpound Tonggamnerd, affectionately known as Namo, a seasoned horror movie actor of the cult classic “Art of The Devil” franchise and Jirawat Wachirasaranyapat, and is about a thief trapped forever in a house by its owner.

Present during the press conference was Hongyok, actress from BOO 3 A.M. Episode 1, who said, “The experience working on this regional production of 3 A.M. Bangkok Ghost Stories has been thrilling to say the least. It’s great to see validation from the region for thriller and horror stories from Thailand and I hope that everyone will enjoy the series.”  

BOO is going on-ground later this month with a “thrill-filled” BOO Night Run on the 28th of October, 7:00pm at MAEPS, Serdang. Be prepared to be “fright-entertained”, spooked and surprised as you run.

With a new movie premiering every Friday and a BOO Original episode on Saturdays, BOO’s line-up of horror and the supernatural are sure to give anyone the creeps.
