The Voice commences production with arrival of coaches!

mm2 Entertainment Pte Ltd (a wholly-owned subsidiary of mm2 Asia Ltd.), Astro and StarHub jointly announced the commencement of production for The Voice of Singapore and Malaysia at a media conference held in Hotel Jen Puteri Harbour. The event also marked the first ever official appearance of the four coaches, Tan Hanjin, Della Ding, Gary Chaw and Sky Wu.

The competition is known for its audience engagement through social media and we are fully supporting this unique format by broadcasting it on both TV and StarHub Go so viewers can watch it and join the conversation wherever they are.”

The Voice launched its Online Auditions in May, and received over 2,000 submissions from Singapore, Malaysia and other countries. 100 contestants have been shortlisted and will enter the first stage of the singing competition, ‘The Blind Auditions’. Production will begin at Pinewood Studios in Johor Bahru tomorrow.

The winner of The Voice will be awarded a single recording contract by Universal Music Group which may also award recording contracts to other contestants at its own discretion. The Voice will be co-hosted by SPH UFM100.3 DJ Wenhong  and Astro Artiste Hui Mei. Exciting exclusive ‘Behind-the-scenes’ featurettes will be co-hosted by SPH UFM 100.3 DJ Wei Long and Astro Artiste William Tan. These featurettes will be carried on the official website, www.thevoicesgmy.com.

The Voice premieres 17 September, 8pm on Hub E City (StarHub TV) and StarHub Go on StarHub; and 17 September, 8.30pm at AEC Channel on Astro.
