Stand a chance to win a RM10,000 cash prize and opportunity to produce a telemovie
Ulagam Short Film Contest collaboratively organized by Astro Vaanavil (Ch 201) and Astro Ulagam returns with a Deepavali theme. Aspiring Malaysian directors are invited to submit their creative works from now until 15 July for an opportunity to win amazing cash prizes and a chance to produce a telemovie.
To participate, contestants need to:
- Create an original 20-minute Deepavali-themed Tamil short film.
- Create a film poster for their short film.
- Complete the contest entry form and submit their short film and poster via www.astroulagam.com.my/shortfilmcontest.
A panel of judges will determine ten winners of the competition based on the following criteria: originality, creativity, acting, cinematography, editing, script, and screenplay.
Winners will take home the following cash prizes:
- 1st place winner: RM10,000 and a valuable opportunity to produce a telemovie which will premiere on Astro.
- 2nd place winner: RM8,000 .
- 3rd place winner: RM6,000.
- Seven consolation prize winners: RM3,000.
