Stand a chance to win a RM10,000 cash prize and produce a telemovie
Aspiring local filmmakers are invited to participate in the Ulagam Short Film Contest from now till 30 June 2023 for a chance to win exciting cash prizes and the opportunity to produce a telemovie.
To participate, contestants need to:
- Create an original 20-minute short Tamil film with a Malaysian theme.
- Create a film poster for their short film.
- Complete the contest entry form, submit their short film and poster via www.astroulagam.com.my.
Winners of the competition will be selected based on originality, creativity, acting, cinematography, editing, script and screenplay by a panel of judges.
Ten winners will take home the following cash prizes:
- 1st place winner: RM10,000 and an opportunity to produce a telemovie which will premiere on Astro.
- 2nd place winner: RM8,000.
- 3rd place winner: RM6,000.
- Seven consolation prize winners: RM3,000
