Yayasan Astro Kasih Awards 11 Scholarships to Underprivileged Students

In line with Astro’s three-year ESG aspirations, Yayasan Astro Kasih (YAK)—the corporate foundation of the Astro Group—has proudly awarded scholarships to 11 exceptional students from the B40 community. These bright individuals embody the skills, knowledge, and values needed to become future leaders. At Astro, we believe that quality education should be accessible to all, as it forms the cornerstone of a thriving society. This initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to that vision.

The Astro Scholarship Awards Ceremony, themed “Start With A Dream, Finish With A Future,” was held at Astro’s Bukit Jalil headquarters to honor the September 2025 recipients. The event was graced by YAK Board of Trustee Mr. Tay Kay Luan, Astro Group CEO Euan Smith, and Astro Group CFO Dr. Grace Lee Hwee Ling, alongside the scholars and their proud guardians.

Beyond recognition, the ceremony offered scholars and their families a glimpse into Astro’s dynamic business land scape and created meaningful networking opportunities with their future employer. The day concluded with an engaging Career Development Session, bringing together scholarship recipients from 2023, 2024, and 2025. During this session, Astro’s HR team and Young Talents shared career insights and personal success stories, illustrating how the scholarship serves as a powerful springboard for professional growth even before graduation.
